A "I Love Lucy Baby" doll made by American Character, was used on the 1950s show, "I Love Lucy." I've posted a photo where Lucy is using one of these very dolls in an episode on the show, to learn how to diaper a baby. Only a few of these dolls were ever made in 1952. Once Lucy had her real baby (a girl) production stopped on this doll and American Character came out with the "Rickey Jr." doll.

For your consideration is an "I Love Lucy Baby" doll from my own personal collection. She is in very good condition for as old as she is. Her body is made of rubber, that has held together nicely through the years. The mechanism that allowed the doll to cry and wet, and squeeker, has been removed because it was full of mold and couldn't be cleaned out. When I bought the doll about 10 years ago, her body was as flat as a pancake. I took great care in reconditioning her hard plastic head and rubber body. I stuffed her with cotton to reform her body to it's original shape. Although delicate, she has all of her fingers and all of her toes. There are no marks on her and she will come to you expertly packaged, clean (with no odors), and ready to display.

There is no original box or papers or original clothes, but she is wearing a replica outfit similar to the one she was originally dressed in, that I made, as shown in the photo.
